Take A Power Nap
It is obvious that taking a five hour nap in the middle of the day will hurt your chances of being able to fall asleep at night. But what about a twenty minute power nap? Studies have shown that power naps have many health and cognitive benefits.
In one study, it was found that a power nap in the afternoon improved cognitive function by forty percent. Power naps are also known to reduce stress. When you take a break and wind down during the day, you wake up refreshed and ready to start the day again.
Difficulty falling asleep, waking up often during the night and having trouble getting back to sleep, and waking up too early in the morning are common insomnia symptoms. These signs and symptoms can result in irritability, difficulty concentrating, and tiredness.
